spin spirals in 2D materials with SEMPA

The manuscript by Marielle Meijer abouth the observed spin spirals and its chirality has just appeared in ACS NanoLetters, a great collaboration with Marcos Guimaraes from Groningen who started with 2D materials in FNA during his VENI period. Nice to see that SEMPA can be used for many different materials systems. Specifically we for the first time unravel the handedness in FGT (FeGeTe) crystals and explain the experimental results using a model based on many competing interactions, albeit still some open ends that need resolve! Moreover, this is the first time we publish results using the temperature dependence in the in-situ SEMPA chamber with all the technical complications using cryogenics around it.
