Today is a day where we have a full program with online presentations of the Early Stage Researchers (ESR) in the ITN program MagnEFi. Always, impressed with what the students have learned and achieved in a short timeframe and gives a good stage to compare the differences and correspondences of the PhD programs in Europe.
Moreover, it is most exciting to see the interaction between the ESR’s slowly rising towards self-confident questioning of their peers. In a way I am starting to like online pitches as the ‘overhead of travel’ etc.. is so much reduced (and handy in combination with the care of little ones), on the other hand, it sucks as the real personal interaction is lost and the creative process is damped.
